Like to shop? Leave room for what you may buy and/or bring an empty tote bag you can pack in your main luggage, then check through or carry home.
If you travel much you already know how helpful ziploc and plastic bags are for organizing what you pack. You spend less time "rummaging" and quickly find what you want. Smaller plastic bottles of personal items keep the overall weight down.
Check with your airline to see what you can and cannot bring and any additional charges incurred.

SECURITY
As in any country, keep your valuables on your person or in the safe provided at the Hotels. DO NOT leave them out in your room.
Don’t bring irreplaceable keepsakes or expensive jewelry, and don’t wear anything of value in public.
EXCHANGE RATE
Spain is a part of the European Union and uses the Euro. Current exchange rate for the American dollar is $1.00 = .7874 Euro
Please check with your bank or other monetary exchange service for current rate. Current exchange rate for the American dollar can easily be checked on google.com. Simply search "exchange rate euro to dollar."
LANGUAGE
Spanish is the official language for much of Spain, while Catalán is the principal language in Barcelona. Spanish is also spoken and understood in that city.
HEALTH
No shots are required at the present time for travel to Spain. The Health Department will recommend you be up-to-date with routine vaccinations when traveling, yet the decision is yours. Know your blood type.
ADDITIONAL TRAVEL INFORMATION
Is your passport is up to date? If you need a new passport or to renew one, there are passport windows at most post offices. Take your old passport or your current proof of citizenship, two passport photos and your driver’s license. NO VISA REQUIRED!
To guarantee your seat on the plane, be sure to check in 3 hours early. You may wish to bring a book or something of interest.
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
Regarding use of electrical appliances such as hairdryers, shavers, etc.: Most hotels do have 110 and 220 options in the rooms, however, certain locations may not, so you may wish to pack a set of adapters designed especially for travelers.
