Internationally
acclaimed dancer, Mésmera, travels to East Africa on an adventure
to explore the link between Arabic and African dance. Near Nairobi,
she joins the Luo tribe in a high spirited celebration, then on to the
famous Mt. Kenya Safari Club for Chuka Drummers and to perform an offering
to Mt. Kenya. She joins a Camel Safari along the Ewaso Nyiro River,
with Cape Buffalo, Hippo and crocodile, to find the Dorobo tribe. As
a special highlight, Mésmera takes you to Amboseli to see Cheetah,
Leopard, Elephant, and most of all, to dance at the feet of the majestic
Monarch, KILIMANJARO!

Mésmera's
continued journey leads her to Old Mombasa where she performs at Gede,
a mysterious ancient Arabic city, and beside the warm, blue Indian Ocean.
For rhythm and dance she joins the Giriama Tribe, then floats you high
above Masai Mara in a hot air balloon to see exotic animals and the
majesty of Africa. After seeing lions, zebra, giraffe and hippos in
the Mara River, she ventures to a Masai village, dances with the women
and sees the life-sustaining blood and milk ceremony. In a medicine
woman's hut she has a mystical union in dance with a powerful feminine
spirit. Mésmera's finale at Lake Nakuru is a spectacular tribute
to the freedom and beauty of all creation; the origin of dance.
